solid stainless steel Orthopedic Mallet is designed for use in a wide variety of surgical procedures that require manipulation of bone either cutting, splitting or scraping via chisels or gouges. This mallet features a solid stainless steel head that resists changing shape and thus applies the full force wherever it is intended. It is most suited to apply force to the opposite end of an osteotome or gouge to assist in driving the blade portion through hard tissue. This instrument is available in two sizes: one pound with 1 ½” head or 3 pounds with 1 7/8″ head making it well suited for a wide variety of surgical scenarios and surgeon preferences.
